Witness Performing Arts (WPA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to comprehensive training and enrichment in all areas of the performing arts. Founded in 2001 by MarQue Munday, WPA proudly received its 501(c)(3) status in October 2004. Our mission is to inspire, educate, and nurture creativity across all ages—empowering individuals to express themselves fully through the arts while building confidence, discipline, and purpose.
Comprehensive Arts & Movement Training WPA offers a diverse range of dance and movement instruction, including ballet, tap, praise dance, and Pilates, available in private, semi-private, and group mat formats. We encourage new students to begin with private instruction to establish a strong technical foundation before transitioning into group classes, ensuring confidence, safety, and long-term success.
On Thee MarQuee On Thee MarQuee is WPA’s premier performing and visual arts showcase platform—created to spotlight emerging talent while providing real-world, professional-level training. Through curated showcases, master classes, and community engagement, artists of all ages develop confidence, refine their craft, and gain career-ready skills in acting, singing, dance, music, and visual arts. On Thee MarQuee bridges education and opportunity—honoring history, cultivating excellence, and elevating the next generation of creative voices.

Juneteenth Nevada Performing Arts Program The Juneteenth Nevada Performing Arts Program uses the arts as a living classroom—connecting history, heritage, and creative expression. Through acting, music, dance, spoken word, and visual arts, participants explore the legacy of Juneteenth while developing confidence, discipline, and professional performance skills. This program uplifts authentic storytelling, celebrates Black excellence, and provides youth and emerging artists with meaningful opportunities to perform, learn, and be seen.
EmpowerHer: Miss Juneteenth Nevada Women’s History Program EmpowerHer is a signature women’s history and leadership initiative of the Miss Juneteenth Nevada Scholarship Program, designed to cultivate informed, confident, and purpose-driven young women. Through historical education, personal development, mentorship, and performance-based learning, participants deepen their understanding of Black women’s contributions while strengthening their voice, presence, and leadership identity. EmpowerHer prepares participants not only for the Miss Juneteenth Nevada stage—but for lifelong impact and leadership.
